Larke Witten is new to the Bay Area. She previously served as the Visiting Director of Music for Seattle University Choirs, balanced with her work as a choral artist, soloist, and private voice instructor. A versatile conductor, Larke was the Assistant Conductor for the Bellevue Nativity Messiah. Her experience spans the full vocal and developmental spectrum, having directed ensembles ranging from the Northwest Boychoir and the University of Washington Treble Choir to community and church choirs of all ages. Her vocal career includes a ten-season tenure as a founding member of the San Antonio Chamber Choir and seven seasons with Choral Arts Northwest. Larke’s notable performances include national ACDA conferences, Carnegie, Benaroya, and Abravanel Halls, Vienna’s Stephansdom, the San Antonio Missions and San Fernando Cathedral, collaborations with the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, the King’s Singers, the Children’s Chorus of San Antonio, the South Dakota Chorale, and the Tel Aviv and San Antonio Symphonies. She thanks her husband, Matt, and their three daughters for a lifetime of adventure.
Rafael Ornes is a conductor and organist based in the San Fransisco Bay Area and leads the Stanford Summer Chorus for many years.
In addition to his work at Stanford, Ornes is best known as the founder of the Choral Public Domain Library (CPDL), one of the world’s most widely used free resources for choral scores. His efforts have significantly expanded global access to public domain choral repertoire.
He has also served as Minister of Music at Valley Presbyterian Church in Portola Valley, California, leading community music programs and choral initiatives.
Amy Stuart Hunn is the founder of Collage Vocal Ensemble. She holds BA and MA degrees in Music from Stanford University, and a DMA in Choral Music from the University of Southern California. She is Emeritus Founding Artistic Director of the Collage Vocal Ensemble (Los Altos, CA), served as director of the Stanford Summer Chorus for eight seasons, and has guest-directed a number of CA Bay Area ensembles including the California Bach Society and the Stanford Symphonic Chorus. In 2016, she relocated to Portland with her family, in search of rain and adventure - both of which she has found in abundance! She currently sings on staff at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, and has appeared in concert with The Resonance Ensemble, 45th Parallel, In Mulieribus, and The Ensemble of Oregon. She also performs and records with the Oakland-based vocal ensemble Vajra Voices.
